“Sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”

Very well said that sometimes you will never know the true value of a moment until it becomes a memory. And things becomes memory only when it is celebrated very well. So today what I am going to talk about is celebration.

Celebration is part our life. “Life is a celebration, Enjoy it well”. Celebrations of every functions is a part of Indian culture and this same culture is followed by our Department of English. In our department we celebrates so many things like i.e. Navratri Celebration, Birthday celebration etc.

This year we celebrated so many things and festivals like International Yoga Day, Gardening, Guru Purnima, Welcome Function, Teachers Day, Hindi Divas, Blood Donation Camp, Youth Festival, Christmas Eve, Samuh Bhojan, Picnic, Kite Flying Festival, Navratri, Vegetables Day, Signature Day etc.

We also celebrates Birthdays of Students of our Department of English and Birthdays of Poets and writers because Birthdays are very special day of some one’s life. So on the Birthday of Students we make Birthday card for them and wishes them a great future ahead. This is also part of our tradition in the Department.

This celebrations of events is a part of our education. Our Department of English provides us all the things to make ourselves happy.  With the help of this kind of festivals we learns that How To Celebrates Life because our life is also one kind of celebration itself.

At last I want to thank you all the members of Celebration Committee. Thank you to all of you and a very Special Thanks to our Sir  Prof. Dr. Dilip Barad that he provides this   kind of things in our Department of English that we also learns lessons from life with our studies. So, thank you to all of you.

We started our journey of this year with celebration of International Yoga Day and after that this journey follows some special events like Greetings to Dr.Vinod Joshi Sir, Gardening, Guru Purnima and after that we welcomed our juniors in Welcome Function, after that we celebrated Teachers Day and Hindi Divas. This year we arranged Blood Donation Camp at our department. So many students and teachers donated their blood on 2nd October 2015 on Gandhi Jayanti.

Then we also participated in all the events of Youth Festival. After that we celebrated Navratri in our department. This year we organized one special event of Greetings and Congratulations Event of Heenaba Zala Madam for completing her PhD degree and after that we arranged Samuh Bhojan and Christmas Eve.

And after that comes that festival which awaited by all the students from the very beginning of the year and that is Picnic at Diu and Somnath. Picnic is very important part of education system and as per my understanding all students are waiting eagerly for the day of Picnic.

“It’s about the journey, Not the Destination”.

This time we all are very excited because in a history of Department of English it happened for the very first time that we arranged picnic at very far place from Bhavnagar. And that places are Diu and Somnath. And because of this all students are very excited for this picnic. Than we celebrated Kite Flying Festival and at last we celebrated 'Matrubhasha Divas'.

We also celebrates Birthdays of Students at our Department because Birthdays are very special day of some one’s life. So on the Birthday of Students we make Birthday card for them and wishes them a great future ahead. This is also part of our tradition in the Department.

Life is what you celebrate.
All of it.
Even its end.
