The Da Vinci Code Novel by Dan Brown

The Da Vinci Code
Novel by Dan Brown

Respected Sir,

Here is my point of views about this Novel The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.

1). Brown states on his website that his books are not anti-Christian, though he is on a 'constant spiritual journey' himself, and says that his book The Da Vinci Code is simply "an entertaining story that promotes spiritual discussion and debate" and suggests that the book may be used "as a positive catalyst for introspection and exploration of our faith."

·      First of all I want to elaborate this point that this novel is not Anti-Christian. Though this whole book is based on idea of Christianity and showing some imaginative truths about Christianity.

·      Dane Brown is not saying that this is truth or related with history.

·      He used some of parts of history and based on that he imagined one story who made only for entertainment.

·      This book The Da Vinci Code is simply "an entertaining story that promotes spiritual discussion and debate" and suggests that the book may be used "as a positive catalyst for introspection and exploration of our faith."

2). When we do traditional reading of the novel ‘The Da Vinci Code’, Robert Langdon, Professor of Religious Symbology, Harvard University emerges as protagonist and Sir Leigh Teabing, a British Historian as antagonist. Who will claim the position of protagonist if we do atheist reading of the novel?

·      If we do atheist reading of this book then Sir Leigh Teabing emerges as protagonist because he is more clear in his motives that he wanted to revile secretes about Holy Grail and wanted to give relaxation to the humanity from the clutches of Christianity.

·      He is not doing this all the things because of money, money is merely cover up for this things.

·      Robert Langdon becomes traditional hero.

·      He becomes secret keeper and not reviling that secret to humanity.

·      Robert Langdon also becomes blind follower of Christianity when he takes about accident happened to him and he fallen down into well that time he says that Jesus is there with him to save him and at the end of this movie when finally he found that Holy Grail means sarcophagus of Mary Magdalene he kneels down to that sarcophagus of Mary Magdalene.

·      So, at the and Sir Leigh Teabing becomes real hero if we think from the point of view of atheist reading.

3). What harm has been done to humanity by the biblical narration or that of Milton’s in The Paradise Lose? What sort of damage does narrative like ‘The Vinci Code’ do to humanity?

·      In Milton’s Paradise Lost this all harms are done to humanity like,

·      Because of Eve fall is happen and that’s why in every cases they blames women or hate them.

·      Argumentative discourse is shown by Milton but all thinks that women are not meant to argue and if they argue their all arguments are wrong and leads to disasters of humankind.

·      In ‘The Vinci Code’ one damage is shown for human kind is that at the end when Robert Langdon also becomes blind follower of Christianity when he takes about accident happened to him and he fallen down into well that time he says that Jesus is there with him to save him and at the end of this movie when finally he found that Holy Grail means sarcophagus of Mary Magdalene he kneels down to that sarcophagus of Mary Magdalene.

·      Instead of reviling that secret about Holy Grail means sarcophagus of Mary Magdalene, he becomes secret keeper that time.

                                               Thank You ….
